Bulk email marketing

I have finally learned not to participate in ANY surveys cause these end up generating all kinds of bulk mail (all unwanted). Is there anyway other than changing my email address to stop these awful bulk messages? I dont open any just delete them. Please help me if you can. Thanks.

I don’t want to delete anything else that might be in between and yahoo mail doesn’t have an “empty” option on the inbox- only on the bulk and the trash. I would have to click on “check all” and delete 4000 pages in order to get rid of them manually. Does anyone know a better way?

i accidentally marked Hi5.com as spam, and now i must receive an email from them, telling me how to reactivate my account but i don’t receive anything from them and theyr website is telling me that they’ve sent the mail each time. i want to see that mail

I removed a mail from my bulk mail folder (yahoo) accidently. Since it was a bulk mail, not available in the trash. How can I restore the same ?

I accidentally deleted my bulk mail then realized I need to retrieve a message from there. When I checked my trash none of the messages that were in my bulk was in the trash at all. Is there a way I can retrieve the messages I deleted from my bulk mail? Where did the messages go?

With this change, that I did not do, has stopped me sending some of my mail from my address book. I need to get rid of the word Spam and back to the word Bulk. This box will read as it did before

I have it set where if mail goes to bulk it wil automatly go to the trash bend. But I’ve joined a group and some of their emails goes to bulk instead of the inbox. I have forgotten how to change it back.

I’m getting more and more e-mails that don’t list anyone in the “From” section of the heading. These e-mails are showing up in my Inbox and the other folders I’ve created, not just in my Bulk Folder. There are some days that I receive 50 or more of these type of e-mails and it’s getting really frustrating! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I heard that the USPS uses high postage rates on first-class mail and packages, so that they can offer lower rates to commercial bulk-mailers. Are we ordinary citizens being used to subsidize the costs of by-mail advertising for rich corporations, who send us tons of unwanted catalogs that clutter up our mail boxes and just get thrown in the trash, un-looked-at?
vollyballchic and justagrandma. There’s a difference between a bulk order and a bulk mailing. When a store, such as Wal-Mart, makes a bulk purchase, it pays for delivery of the items from the manufacturer to their store, and naturally it is cheaper to buy a lot from one seller than the same amount from many sellers.

But when someone mails a letter, he carries it to the post office at his own expense. Letter writers not only pay the costs of carrying the letter from their town’s post office to another post office across the country (i.e., postage), they ALSO pay to get the letter TO their town’s post office.

There’s no difference, then, between what it costs the post office to receive outgoing mail, whether bulk or letters. It’s zero, in each case.

What’s really happening is that the post office has shifted the burden of corporate bulk mail advertising over to the non-corporate citizen who mails letters and packages. It would be better if corporations paid for their own advertising.
