Why won’t Daemon leave me alone?
I have, this week, started getting between 200-300 returned emails with the “Mailer-Daemon” (or some similar spelling) “Undeliverable” message on them every single day in my inbox. I mark them as spam and all because I do not know what else to do. I have not signed up for anything new. I have not done anything at all that I have not done in the past. Now, I am suddenly getting mass emails about undeliverable mass emails that I never even sent out en masse in the first place. It is very annoying to say the least. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem other than deleting my account with Yahoo and starting fresh? I do not know why it started, but I am ready to choke the internet. Thanks in advance.
I know what the Mailer Daemon thing is, but I have, this week, started getting between 200-300 bounced/returned emails with the “Mailer-Daemon”/ “Undeliverable” message on them every single day in my inbox. I mark them as spam and all because I do not know what else to do. I have not signed up for anything new. I never forward emails. I may send 2 emails out every two or three days. Unpredictable folder – Non-Spam going to bulk?
Some desireable e-mails are sent automatically to the Bulk folder. I am pretty sure I never hit the Spam button – especially, for example, when the sender was Wxpserver – one I ALWAYS want to read. I have opened the message in the Bulk folder and hit the Not Spam button. That moves the e-mail to the Input folder, but then a future message from the same sender lands in the Bulk folder again.
My Concern: Emptying Bulk without looking through the many messages I have no interest in looking for the ones I want.
Thanks in advance for assisting!
Thanks, d3midway.
I did not find the address listed in the blocks. However, I DID have 500 blocked addresses – the maximum.
I deleted one in case there is a software bug when max’d out.
If sender is not in my addresses, can Yahoo! hold delivery of that email until I enter the address?
My Bulk folder fills up with spam. I move spam emails to my Inbox where I mark them as spam.
If Yahoo could match each email received against my address book, potential span could be identified before I have to deal with it.
Another email provider offers a feature where these emails are held until the addressee has added the new sender to their address book. If the address is not added in a period of time, the emails are deleted and are never sent to the original intended recipient.
Why do I have spam in my inbox, with my own e-mail as the sender?
I was clearing out my bulk folder today and noticed that I had received several spam pieces that used my e-mail as the sender. Was I hacked? I dont feel like I was because my account has not been frozen, and also it is set to save a copy of all outgoing mail in my sent folder, and these e-mails were not in my sent folder.
