Why is Yahoo putting my truthout.org in my bulk mail?
Since early Sept 2007 subscribers to truthout.org daily news are having their truthout.org email sent to their bulk mail, even when truthout.org is NOT on their spam block list. AOL, MSN, and Yahoo are blocking truthout.org. I have complainted to Yahoo Mail about this and have had no reply yet. Last week another user asked this same question, “Why is truthout.org being blocked?” and the time for replying has been closed by Yahoo. One abusive response was allowed that erroneoulsy and maliciously warned that truthout.org might be a virus. What nonsense. How and why can so many people be afraid of reading the truth? Did the White House or someone else get to Yahoo Mail? What happened to First Amendment rights?
Bulk Email Program Free?
Hello I am looking for a program that is free that the foundation that is 501c3 can use to send all of our members our newsletter. We are not spammers we our members sign up for it and that is only who we send it to outlook and thunderbird cant seem to handle how large our list is anymore. Again we are a not for profit so it would need to be something free. Thanks
Where can i get a legitimate list of email contacts for a campaign?
I would like to start an email campaign for my website and found theres plenty of legitimate email companies but none of them provide the email list. They’re telling me I should harvest emails from people who visit the site. Well DUH if people were visiting my site why would I need an email campaign to generate traffic? Does anyone have any experience with legitimate email advertising where can I get a list of contacts?
Bulk mail navigation problems?
I have many issues with what seems to be a poorly designed interface for bulk mail. Occasionally a valid email will go into bulk mail and you have to check the bulk folder to see if your mail is there.
Issue 1: Given that valid emails will sometimes get flagged as bulk, why isn’t the bulk folder searchable? This would relieve most of the other issues.
Issue 2: Spammers use future dates to make their mail go to the top. I have to delete pages and pages, one at a time, which is a very tedious process, just to get to a real date where my valid email might be. Knowing that this is a tactic of spammers, has Yahoo implemented some more practical way to deal with this?
Issue 3: If I switch it to list older mail first, there are pages and pages of old spam I have to delete one at a time to reach a valid date where my mail might be.
Are there any methods that people know of to deal with this in a more practical manner or is Yahoo’s interface for bulk mail just hopelessly inadequate?
JR: You didn’t read my post. Bulk mail is not searchable. That’s the problem!
Card Reader: You gave a nice FAQ about dealing with spam, but you also don’t appear to read my post which is specific. Since VALID messages will inevitably get marked as spam on occasion, I have issues with finding those messages. I have set most of the options you discussed.
#3: Why would I want to search bulk mail? Because the filter is not perfect and sometimes valid messages get marked as spam. Until they make the spam filter 100% perfect, this will remain an issue.
What exactly is SPAM?
You see, I thought that “Spam” was simply unsolicited and unwanted emails from anyone who sent them to you. I have a Yahoo email address, and a Yahoo mail account by the way, from which I receive my mail.
Therefore, I just blocked my ex-boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend as spam. She had my email listed in her bulk address list still after 6 months of me and my ex being broken up. I was never really friendly with her and rarely talked to her while I was with my ex anyways, so i kindly asked her a few times to please remove me from her list.
So I was sick and tired of getting her emails about pointless and useless information, and chain letter like emails including one that claimed that Bill Gates would give you $250.00 every time you forwarded an email about microsoft!
She had a hotmail account and a yahoo account, and I went into my mail options and marked 4 of her most recent emails as spam and blocked both addresses. My question here is was this the right thing to do and will she
and will she know that I reported her emails as spam?!
I just looked into the mail options in the spam section again, and it says that yahoo will cancel an account if it is reported that it sent spam. Do you think that her account will now get cancelled because I reported some of her mail as spam?
Need a bulk emailer for my newsletter?
Well my website is starting a newsletter campaign, and I need a good program to send it out with.
The reason it’s hard to find is that I don’t want it to use SMTP, but some other method.
