Good website or list of items to have stocked in your pantry?

After moving into a new house, you’re always realizing that something is missing… it takes time to really stock the new house back up with things you might need.
I’m also trying to buy in bulk and have food stocked up because our income varies and some months we don’t really have much grocery money.

If you have a good list, or a good website to reccommend, please do. Thanks!

How many gallons is 35 lb oil?

I saw a 35 lb cooking oil can at Costco. I am sure it is economical to buy in bulk, but oil is normally sold in gallons in retail market. For the sake of comparison, how can I convert 35 lb into gallons? Gallon is for volume while pound is for mass!

One more non-technical question - If one actually buys this huge can of oil, how do you pour the oil into smaller containers at home? I remember one plastic bellows type hand-pump at my mom’s (20-25 years ago!) but couldnt find any such product in local stores.
Density of peanut oil is approx 56.81 lb/cubic ft. Divide 35 lb by the density ->> about 4.63 gallons of oil.
Thank you for your answers.
