I am a bit of a foodie, but the small town i live in means that i can only buy jarred spices which are expensive and rarely fresh. I wil be driving to new york for a little getaway in a few weeks and
i thought i remembered hearing about open air markets in chinatown where you could get bulk spices. like where they have everything out in bins or bags and you get a nice big scoop for x amount? does anyone know of any place like that? anywhere in the city? doesnt have to be open air just somewhere to get good, cheap spices like curry or cardamom or anything else?
