What is the cost/fee for return service requested on bulk mail?

It states return postage charged at appropriate single-piece price. Does this mean the return postage charge will be .44 cents a piece, regardless of whether it’s First Class or Standard Mail (Bulk Mail)? Any information helps, thank you.

  1. Return service requested is free if sending first class mail. If you are sending standard mail, for each piece that gets returned to you you pay the first class postage to send it back to you. So yes, if you’re sending out something that costs $.44 to send full-rate, you would pay $.44 for return service requested on that piece.

With the new electronic options, I’m wondering why you would bother with this. Why not use ACS or Onecode. Onecode costs just $.03 for each return, and you get them back electronically so you don’t have to pay someone to type in a lot of addresses.

My disclaimer: This is just my opinion and all of the information above could be incorrect so make sure you do your own research before actually mailing anything.
