I was clearing out my bulk folder today and noticed that I had received several spam pieces that used my e-mail as the sender. Was I hacked? I dont feel like I was because my account has not been frozen, and also it is set to save a copy of all outgoing mail in my sent folder, and these e-mails were not in my sent folder.
Why do I have spam in my inbox, with my own e-mail as the sender?

Spammers often hijack email addresses to use as addresses so that any returned messages will not get returned to them – only to the address they hijack. I get those all the time on my domain — very annoying!!!
I doubt you’ve been hacked…you’re probably on a list someplace as a “good email address” – your address was probably harvested off someplace you’ve left it like a message group or web page.
It will let up after awhile…they’ll move on to using someone else’s domain and email address for a week or so…and then someone else’s…etc…
