So I am now employed as a marketing telemarketer person for my company. for a month now, I have been making numerous phone calls, emailing various business in this local mall catalog asking them if they need a website or e-commerce website development. Most answers I get are ” we have someone who does that for us ” or ” no thanks” . So for about a month I only had few potential ( people who were considering ) but no actual takers.
Should I change job or are there any good tips in marketing for my company? My co worker told me that someone got fired because he didnt make any clients in 1 year but she just stated that he was lazy and didnt try.
What should I do?
Yea I should leave but the job market right now is bad, Im lucky to even be in this job though. I might look for a 2nd job soon but not many out there.

Cold calling is hard, either you don’t mind doing it & it’s worth it for you or more often there are much better ways.
You’d be better off starting with a marketing system where you don’t have to do any of the selling or telling, the system is automated & does it for you. You can make much better money this way too.
Here is one of the best available;
Personally, I would LEAVE that job! Telemarketing is one of THE most mundane, unrewarding, downright unsatisfying jobs they EVER were!
I did it MANY years ago, and like you, ALL I got was…”No Thanks” “Not Interested”…and then the “click” of them hanging up on me.
You’d be MUCH better off as an Inside Sales Rep. for a company making calls and receiving calls from customers who are clearly targeted as viable prospects (and also EXISTING customers).
Plus, you can go from Inside Sales to Outside Sales and the $$ increases sunstantially.
Telemarketing is REALLY a DEAD-END career path.
