what is the best way for me to build up muscle.

Joinn a Gym! lift weight
Train heavy.. compound movements only.. no curls, no running, no 100 rep sets. You match that with a higher calorie diet rich with healthy fats and proteins.
Join a weight lifting class in high school. Lift weights every day for like 1-2 hours with buddies forcing you to keep on going and you WILL get stronger in 2-3 months. Combine that with Cross Country and you’ll be muscular and ripped.
