Back ground – I have recently joined the yahoo community. I am a business consultant as well as an internet marketer. So mostly I check out the questions in the small business category and answer those where I can offer some help.
Issue – On one hand, I have been receiving many ‘best answers’ on the other, i am receiving a spate of violation messages from yahoo. As far as I know, I do not violate any terms. I do not even mention my website. I leave my email id for those interested in more info about what I have written.
If some of you have read my answers where I have mentioned the features / given a snapshot of my business, please let me know where I went wrong. I wrote to yahoo and they said they do not divulge reasons for withdrawal of an answer.
Secondly, do you think there may be someone (another user, seeing that I am getting many best answers and who may not want my business to be popular) would be doing this on purpose? If so, it defeats the very purpose of this forum
If this is the case, I would be very discouraged and disappointed! I am honestly open to constructive criticism… point out if you think I went wrong somewhere and I will certainly change the way I write. Looking for inputs esp since the yahoo team didn’t have answers for me. Thanks in advance for those who will take the time to answer this! Cheers!
yes this happened to me very weird huh?it happened to everybody.
Yes people get jealous and since you are a good answerer you are “stealing” there points so you probably have a hater to deal with
Some people, for who knows what reason, don’t like you/your question, and decide to report you. I have been reported for many goofy things, and I just laugh it off, and go on.
leave ur email in your profle and just leave a comment like most (my email address is in my yahoo if you wish to contact me) =D might be your problem
Yahoo answers is not here for the purpose of you advertising your business. When people see that, they post a spam violation. If you only keep your answers to helping people, you will not get violation messages.
Your answers are exact copies of the same text every time. That is called spam no matter how you look at it.
I’m not someone who flagged you but I went back and read your answers and I would have to say that if I read more then one of your posts I would certainly flag you. You aren’t answering questions, you are copying a message and pasting it.
If part of your business plan is to increase your internet traffic by becoming a Yahoo Answers top contributor I would re-think that, you would be wasting your time.
Remove the paragraph you put at the end because that can be construed as soliciting — whether you agree or not

Just put your website in your profile page. If people likes your responses, they will check your profile page and will try to contact you if you allow email or IM.
Just don’t put the above in your responses so the YA team won’t take it as solicitation.
