What has worked for you for building your email list? I am only interested in targeted subscribers – people who are seriously interested in my topic and the information I have.
The best way is to have a source for people that have an interest to opt into your mailing list on their own. Of course, this is the tricky part. The easiest way is to offer something of value to someone for submitting their email address so that you can email them whatever the item of value is – a PDF report, a file, an application, etc. The underlying kicker to all this is to have a high enough volume of visitors to your site or add to draw a crowd of potential email subscribers. The best way to ensure people want to find out more is to give them legitimate information that they can use and would look forward to hearing from you on a regular basis. Constant sales flyers have SOME draw potential, but often times, a newsletter or Tips and FAQ’s type document goes further for the appeal to want to subscribe
Hello.
My name is Logic.
When you collect email-addresses be sure to at minimum gather the first and last names of the email recipients.
Below are some ways to collect email addresses quickly and some are for collecting over time.
One of our articles shares how one of our clients collected over 2000 names and email addresses in a 2 day weekend. They are all Opt-In SPAM-FREE this way.
One of the best tactics you can use is creating an authority site on the topic, you can do this for free with blogger.com or wordpress.com.
Use that site to post your information articles and offer a newsletter an opt in newsletter on that blog. If you utilize an autoresponder service you can preset emails to be sent to your list and most good autoresponders give you the code for adding the subscription form on your site.
You can also offer a short report that you create to give away that is based on the topic of your choice.
If you would like more info on how to go through these steps I do have a video series I created that guides you through this you can find the link below:
