How many emails in a distribution list is considered spam?



I want to contact possible customers for a new business but don’t want to end up in junk or bulk email, Does anyone know the rules from Yahoo?

  1. I believe that if you send out an email to 30 or more persons at a time you have to enter a code to confirm you are sending this email out legit. As far as ending up in junk or spam folders, some options are to send a short message out first, letting contacts know you are going to send out more info and keep the number of contacts down to like 10 at a time, and ask them to check their bulk folder for the email, then they can decide on their end if its junk. Don’t forget to use the bcc field when sending anything to more than one person so they don’t get everybody else’s email. And you can also subscribe to yahoo small business which would allow for mass emails to be sent out. yahoo’s general rule only allows for a maximum of 50 recipients for each email.
