Is there a gap in the computer market for a spare I/O shield seller?

I am thinking of starting up a small online store selling all manner of spare I/O shields. It wouldn’t have to support me, as i have a successful online business already, it would just be a side project.

I would bulk order straight from manufacturers, stocking maybe 50 for each motherboard.

  1. I believe you might have something there!
For a builder, you would be right next to the ‘Great Computer God in the Sky’. Or maybe something close to that! lol!

From a business standpoint of view it might be a real pain in the keister!

Builder: “Yeah, hello? Yeah, I need a I/O shield plate to fit a Googleheimer 3-O Deluxe mobo, and it’s going into a StarWars Jedi XXVII computer case.”

You: Hmmmm, they must have just brought out that case. I don’t see it listed here in my 14 foot stack of flyers, and it’s not in my computer database.

You: “What size hole does the case have, and are the corners rounded or square? What’s that? About 2- 3/8ths inches by 4- 1/8th inches roughly, give a fingernail thickness or two?
Can you give me that in millimeters?”

Builder: (Frustrated) “Man I don’t know. It’s a StarWars Jedi XXVII case, you got one or not?”

But who knows? I might be one of your buyers. I don’t go for that fancy stuff!
    Lol!
