You must set up filters. Example, in Yahoo mail you need to go to Options > Filters and then click add. There should be a page like this:
You only need to fill in the filter name and one of the address blanks (I always choose header and only type or paste the main word of the address just in case the company sends a mail by another sub-name which does happen sometimes).
You should make sure that all addresses you want to get mail from—-is in your address book—thereby notifying Yahoo that you consider those addresses not spam.
That’s not an “end all solution” in every case—-but it will help.
In your bulk folder—open those important mails (one at a time) and then click the “NOT spam” tab, and they will be returned to your inbox and unblocked.
Check your blocked list and remove any of those addresses that you find there.
Mail page>>options (upper right)>>block addresses. If you find any—highlight them and remove them.
